今作の舞台となるFelicia Bayはスペインとポルトガルをイメージした南ヨーロッパの架空の地域で、太陽がまぶしい一大観光地にして働くのに最高の場所です。二大都市であるAlcaztelarとMequinaにはワクワクする名所でいっぱいの特徴的な地区が20区画存在し、Unreal® Engine 5を活用したダイナミックな天候や昼夜の完全な移り変わり、賑わう繁華街を堪能できます。ルートを作成して運用し、時刻表を管理し、バスドライバーを雇い、路線を割り当て、ラッピングや広告でバスをカスタマイズし、公共交通機関に対する信頼を住民と観光客両方から取り戻しましょう。
ゲームモードはストーリー、キャリア、サンドボックスの3種類。思うがままの遊び方でプレイしましょう。運転中は乗客との交流も楽しめますが、バス内や路上で発生することがある各種イベントには要注意です。趣向を変えて楽しみたい場合は、検札員や乗客としてバスに乗ることも可能です。あるいはバスを降りてFelicia Bayを歩き回り、魅力的な名所や隠されたコレクションアイテムを探すのも楽しみ方のひとつです。
本作はソロだけでなく4人での協力マルチプレイモードでプレイすることもできます。力を合わせて路線を設定し、さまざまなバスを管理して会社を成長させていきましょう。また思う存分に運転を楽しめるよう、PC版では、mod.ioから新たなMODを手に入れBus Simulator 27の体験を拡張可能！Bus Simulator 27は数多くの人気のハンドルコントローラーとゲームパッドに対応しています。
